Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 1

I am starting a new forum here at AndyLandX. It's called Through Kenzie's Eyes. It will consist of pictures that she has taken with her groovy digital camera, as well as art projects and various drawings that she does either at school or here at home. I hope you enjoy them. Please note that ALL pictures depicted here were actually taken by Kenzie. Let's start out with the requisite...

...self-portrait.

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 2

Kenzie's best friend, Aidan.

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 3

My guess is that she's seen better days...

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 4

Our evil little kitty actually looks kinda cute here. But she's still evil through and through.

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 5

Our new kitty, Penelope. She's sweet but annoying.

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 6

Our cats relaxing together. This is cool because they're usually chasing each other and fighting.

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 7

This is one of Kenzie's crafts.

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 8

This is the yard at my parents' house. Kenzie liked the look of the bare trees.

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 9

This is honestly a better depiction of SpiderMan than I am capable of...

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 10

...but I think I could draw a better Santa. Still, not bad for a five year old kid.

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 11

I'm not sure if this is supposed to be me because the person pictured is wearing a dress. But my name is at the bottom of the page...

Through Kenzie's Eyes Pt. 12

Oh crap, Kenzie drew this at school. Hold on a minute, there's someone at the door...I think it's the ACLU...

Because We Need To Be Told...

Here is a sign I saw at the Post Office in Hightstown, New Jersey. The sign itself is rather un- remarkable. It's the hand- written sign beneath it that is what's remarkable. It's obviously there because we need to be told these things. check it out:

p.s. - the bald guy behind the counter was kind of a rude jerk and other than that he showed no personality so I made the conscious decision to disregard the sign just to get him upset. And, boy, did he get upset! Criminy, you'd have thought by his reaction that I'd just broken all Ten Commandments plus a few of the new ones he'd been working on getting added to the list.

So, if you want good, personable service from a post office employee who doesn't hate you, life and everything in between, go to any post office other than the one in Hightstown, NJ. That bald guy's a jerk. You've been warned.

One That Cookie Monster Would Think Twice About Eating

For the holidays this year, Tiff and Kenzie decided that they wanted to bake cookies and decorate them. I'm not very good at decorating cookies, mind you, but I think that this one came out very well:

Watch out, Cookie Monster: this cookie bites back!!!

Kenzie and the Big Guy

This year, the company that Tiff works for, South Jersey Federal Criminal Unio...I mean, Credit Union, sponsored a Christmas Tree at the Camden Children's Garden which is located next to the Adventure Aquarium. We went to see all the trees that were donated and decorated by local businesses. It was a pretty enjoyable night out, but it was frickin' cold!!!

Anyway, there was a lame scavenger hunt that the kids could complete and there were simple rides like a carousel that the kids could ride. The best part, though, was the butterfly house - mostly because it was really nice and warm inside - but also because Kenzie loves butterflies, even though she says they don't taste like real butter. Just kidding. It took quite a bit to convince Kenzie to go stand next to Santa and get her picture taken. I guess she just wasn't feeling the Santa-vibe. Oh well. She still made out like a bandit on Christmas morning.

Kenzie and her Pumpkin

Here are some pics of Kenzie on our last pumpkin-picking adventure this past October (I know, I'm really late posting these...). This year she only picked one pumpkin. Then again, we went really really late this time (only one week before Halloween) so the pickins were slim. This little pumpkin was the best, most perfect pumpkin we could find. This year coming up we'll get a whole bunch of pumpkins and we'll make sure we go out early in the season. Pumpkins rock!

Guess Who?!

This is the definition of "adorable."
